I made it

So I have made the trip down here and I'm now in my new hometown, at least for a year. The trip was actually pretty enjoyable. I got to listen to a rather silly Nora Roberts audio novel and that was fun.

The first night was spent at my new boss' house and she and her husband were exceptionally nice . Their neighbor had us over for a dinner party and it was a wonderful way to start this experience. One of the neighbors is from Laos and prepared a huge Laotian (I think that is correct) meal. It was spicy and wonderful. The conversation was interesting and again everyone was more than welcoming.

Today I went by to see where I thought I was going to be living. It was not quite up to sneff in my estimation. So I am still deciding what I am going to do about living arrangments on a permanent basis while I am here. That was a rude awakening but I'm not toatlly convinced that it wasn't a needed wake-up call. Here's to hoping it will all work out for the best. For now I'm crashing here at the boss' place and looking into my options.

I'm looking into changing my setting on this blog so it is private. That adds another step to logging in to read it but I think I may go ahead anyway. I figure if you really want to know what is going on in my life you'll take the extra step.

I'll let you know what I decide.

until then,caio

I'm so glad to know that you made it okay. All weekend I've had "I'm going to call Bernadette to hang out" moments, and then, yeah, I can't do that. Anyway, I would definitely take that step to login if you decide to make it private. Also, before I read it today (and this is the first time it happened) I got a warning message that your blog may be objectionable!
